The cricket season has begun and I look to Mitch Marsh, smashing bloke and the guy who sparked the Ashes revival. Mitch carried this form back to Australia and rescued Australia throughout the summer. Needless to say, Marsh won the Allan Border medal and gave an absolutely mesmerising acceptance speech – Mitch is genuinely funny.
So let’s look at Mitch’s scores against Pakistan. Mitch scored 63*, 90, 41, 96, 50*. So that is 340 runs over 5 innings for an average of 113.33 that included 4 fifties. So with those not out scores, he was looking to add to the runs and maybe even a century. However, based on his current form he was not likely to progress past the 100 run mark, I expected him to get into the 90s based on that form. Mitch is also a pretty decent switch fast bowler who can get up in the mid 140s in speed, he is a genuine all-rounder.
